The 'Teen Spirit' Program

The 'Teen Spirit' program serves as an incubator for advocacy initiatives among youth and young adults across Israel. As part of the program, we train teenagers from all over the country to understand the complexities of the State of Israel on the frontlines of Israeli public diplomacy and equip them with advanced tools to represent Israel effectively at home and abroad. Throughout the sessions, participants acquire essential skills such as learning about Israel’s history, public diplomacy in the modern era, public speaking, developing critical thinking, content creation and video editing, using artificial intelligence tools, effective storytelling, debate and persuasion, identifying fake news, and more. Each group develops a unique project, which they present in a national competition with prizes. The winning team is chosen to represent Israel in an international advocacy delegation. In this way, the Civilian Advocacy Headquarters essentially acts as an incubator for innovative advocacy initiatives

Relevance is the point — and that was exactly the essence of the program. Eliav and his team developed an innovative, precise educational response tailored for the next generation. With the right blend of content, digital tools, and engagement, the youth were inspired to think, create, and act with a sense of mission and identity. This built a supportive pro-Israel community, in Israel and worldwide, amplifying young voices.

The project included many educational aspects such as teamwork, time management, initiative and leadership, and the use of AI tools. The students’ enthusiasm was truly exceptional — right after the project, they independently created a follow-up WhatsApp group to manage the next steps in spreading their message. The program greatly enriched their understanding of advocacy and gave them a platform to initiate, lead, and carry out a unique project.

The course included experiential learning, exposure to advanced technologies, intensive practice, and connection to Israeli values and identity. The trainees led a groundbreaking AI-based initiative designed to help address anti-Israel claims intelligently, accurately, and swiftly. The guidance and support were respectful, personalized, and exceeded all expectations. I wholeheartedly recommend the program and see it as vital for shaping a young, value-driven, and leading generation in Israel.

The program gave them a strong foundation and practical tools to actively engage in advocacy. It recognizes that social media is the main arena for advocacy today — perfectly matching the digital mindset of this generation and empowering them to take meaningful action during historic times. I have no doubt that schools that equip their students with these skills and knowledge can help them contribute to the national advocacy effort.
